These terms are a working draft. They have not been reviewed by the business or by a legal advisor. The items marked needs confirmation are decisions only No Limit Fitness can make. Remove this notice once the terms have been checked and those items are settled.
The short version
- Training carries a real risk of injury. You train at your own risk and tell a coach about any injury or condition first.
- No Limit Fitness is not liable for injury, loss or damage, except where we were grossly negligent.
- Respect every athlete, coach and owner, and look after the equipment. You pay for damage you cause.
- We can suspend or cancel a membership, or ban someone, for breaking these rules.
Who we are
No Limit Fitness runs the gym, the coached classes and the app from 79 Boeing Road East, Bedfordview, Gauteng. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean No Limit Fitness, its owners, coaches and staff. “You” means the person buying or booking, or the athlete they book for.
Needs confirmation: the registered company name and registration number, so these terms name the legal entity you contract with.
Your health
By training with us you confirm that you are fit to take part in physical exercise. If you are unsure, see a doctor before you start.
Before your first session, and whenever something changes, tell a coach about any injury, illness, medical condition, medication or pregnancy that could affect your training. Stop and tell a coach straight away if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath or anything else that is not right.
Athletes under 18 may only train with the consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf.
Needs confirmation: the minimum age, if there is one.
Risk and injury
Calisthenics, strength and conditioning training is physically demanding. It carries a real risk of injury, including falls from bars and rings, strains, sprains, fractures and, rarely, more serious harm. That risk exists even when training is coached, equipment is in good order and you do everything right.
You take part voluntarily and at your own risk. This applies to coached classes, Open Gym, day passes, grading tests, and any programme or movement guidance in the app. Open Gym and day-pass training is self-led and unsupervised: train within your own ability, and ask a coach before attempting anything new.
To the fullest extent the law allows, No Limit Fitness, its owners, coaches and staff are not liable for any injury, illness, death, loss or damage you suffer from using the facility, the equipment, the classes or the app, and you indemnify them against any claim arising from it. This does not exclude our liability for loss caused by our gross negligence, or anything else the Consumer Protection Act does not allow us to exclude.
Programmes, grading results and movement analysis in the app are training guidance. They are not medical or physiotherapy advice.
How we treat each other
The gym works because people respect each other. Every athlete, coach and owner is owed that, and so are visitors. When you train with us:
- Treat others with respect. No harassment, abuse, threats, intimidation, discrimination or violence, in person or online.
- Follow a coach’s instructions on safety, spotting and the use of equipment.
- Do not film or photograph other athletes without their permission.
- Do not train under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Share the space and equipment fairly, and put equipment back where it belongs.
Facility and equipment
Use the equipment only for its intended purpose and as shown by a coach. Report anything damaged or unsafe to a coach straight away, and do not use it.
You are responsible for damage you cause through misuse, carelessness or deliberate action, and we may charge you the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
Your belongings are your responsibility. We are not liable for anything lost, stolen or damaged on the premises.
Suspensions and bans
We may give a warning, suspend or cancel a membership, refuse a booking, or ban a person from the gym if they:
- break these terms or the house rules;
- disrespect, harass or endanger an athlete, coach, owner or visitor;
- deliberately or repeatedly damage equipment or the facility;
- do not pay what they owe.
For a serious breach, such as violence, threats or harassment, this can take effect immediately without a prior warning. We will tell you the reason. A membership cancelled for a serious breach is not refunded for the rest of the billing month.
Needs confirmation: that no refund applies on cancellation for a serious breach, and whether a refund applies on a cancellation for anything less.
Memberships and payment
Memberships and Open Gym are monthly subscriptions. Paystack bills your card on the same date each month until the membership is cancelled. Current prices are on the pricing page. We will give you at least one month’s notice before a price change affects your subscription.
The student rate needs a valid student number, and we may ask to see your student card. A membership is personal and cannot be shared or transferred.
To cancel, contact us on +27 72 231 4640 before your next billing date and no further debits will run. A month already paid is not refunded, and your membership stays active until the end of it.
Needs confirmation: the cancellation notice period and how members cancel.
Drop-ins, day passes and bookings
Your first coached class is free. After that, a class without a membership that includes classes is a R120 drop-in, paid online or in cash at the session. An unpaid online booking holds your seat for 30 minutes.
A day pass is R120 and covers self-led facility access for one day. It does not include a coached class.
If you cannot make a session, cancel it with the link in your confirmation email so somebody else can have the seat. We may cancel or move a class, and will let you know if we do.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date and version at the top of this page show which version is current. When the changes matter, we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you book or buy.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. Nothing in them takes away a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or any other law. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest still applies.
How we handle your personal information is set out separately in our privacy policy.
